Advanced composite materials are a class of materials that combine two or more constituent materials to create a composite with improved properties, such as increased strength, stiffness, and lightweight characteristics. These materials find applications in a wide range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, construction, and sports equipment. The aim and scope in this field has been focused on the development of materials by improving physical, mechanical and chemical properties. The combination of different types of materials can lead to a great variety of composites, basically distinguished mainly by their constitution. The most important examples have been fused on metal matrix composites (MMC), polymer matrix composites (PMC), and ceramic matrix composites (CMC). Furthermore, the chemical and physical performance of the composite material is superior to that of the pure component phases. Advanced composite materials have revolutionized various industries by offering a combination of high performance and lightweight properties, making them a preferred choice in many engineering applications.
In this special issue, the recent research and development in the advanced composite materials will be highlighted and discussed.
2.1 Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at https://www.ijitis.org/index.php/jtse by registering and logging in to this website or by sending email to the Guest Editors. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors for manuscripts submission is available on the Author’s Guideline page.
No Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal. Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English.
